1600VIB - Chive from Kershaw and Ken Onion, Rainbow Titanium Coated Handle, Plain Edge Blade
|
This Kershaw Chive Rainbow knife is another of the very popular Chive series of knives. All of the chives come in several different style choices so you can pick the Chive knife that is a perfect match for your personality. Hippies and fun lovers will enjoy this particular Chive knife that comes with a 410 stainless steel titanium-oxide coated rainbow handle. The blade is also 420HC stainless steel titanium-oxide coated for that unique rainbow effect. Turn it in the light and it becomes iridescent. Another great knife that could serve double duty as a fishing lure! Just kidding. Although the stainless steel and titanium coating will also serve to make this knife durable and resistant to corrosion.
The uniquely shaped Chive blade makes this knife useful for many different purposes, such as filleting a fish or piercing holes in a aluminum.
There are two safety features that make the new line of Kershaws an excellent choice. There is the frame lock which firmly holds your Chive blade into position after being fully opened and the Tip Safety Lock which will lock the blade into place after being folded down.
Frame Lock Locks the blade into position after the blade is deployed. To release the frame lock simply press the spring loaded lock and the blade will easily fold back into the handle.
Tip Safety Lock The tip lock available on many of the Ken Onion SpeedSafe models provides added security to assure that the blade will not deploy while clipped into your pocket.
