This Leek knife from Kershaw and Ken Onion makes a great new tool to have in your family. Or you can get it yourself before it flies off the shelves forever! In fact the simple, yet understated appeal of this undecorated stainless steel knife is very attractive to many knife style lovers. All of the Leeks are popular for their wide variety off decorative styles to choose from.

This Kershaw Leek knife is stone washed stainless steel. The handle is made from 410 stainless steel and the blade is made from Sandvik 14C28N stainless steel. It will stand up to wear and tear for many years. The Leek is also a sizeable at about 7 inches when fully opened, while lightweight at about 3.1 ounces.

Any great Kershaw knife has great safety features and this is certainly a Kershaw! You’ll love the frame lock which is designed to hold the Leek blade in position when open. It’s also easy to release the blade using the index opening system or thumb stud. In addition the Tip Safety Lock locks the blade in place when folded down.

Reversible Clip
The Leek handles are drilled for both tip-up and tip-down clip carry. The clip can be rotated 180º .

Frame Lock
Locks the blade into position after the blade is deployed. To release the frame lock simply press the spring loaded lock and the blade will easily fold back into the handle.

Knife Specifications & Features:

SpeedSafe® is the patented, assisted opening mechanism pioneered by Kershaw that makes it fast and easy to open a knife one-handed. SpeedSafe also makes it possible for Kershaw to ensure that even a large blade can move out of the handle just as smoothly and easily as a smaller one. Plus, many of their assisted folders are ambidextrous—and open with a flipper or a thumbstud on both sides of the blade—so they’re just as easy to use left-handed or right. To open a SpeedSafe knife, the user must apply manual pressure to overcome the resistance of the torsion bar. This means that SpeedSafe knives do not meet the definition of a switchblade; they do not deploy with the push of a button or by gravity alone. Once open, the blade locks safely into position until the user releases it.

Wonderful knife April 20, 2009
Reviewer: Debra W from Charlottesville, VA United States
I've had 2 of these, and have a third on the way.  I dearly love them.  I have, unfortunately, lost the previous 2 - left one in a work vehicle, and GEE, it never made it back to me (wonder why?), the 2nd I left in a motel while travelling, and while they PROMISED to send it to me - it never arrived.  Again, I wonder why?  Because they are such great knives, and it is easy to see!  Cannot recommend this knife highly enough.  Only suggestion to you would be to flip the pocket clip - then it comes up ready to open and use, no fumbling to turn it around.

A Work of Art March 12, 2009
Reviewer: Bill from Flower Mound, TX United States
This knife is as much fun to look at as it is to use, an absolute work of art. It disappears when clipped in the pocket but when you need it's there, solid with a great feel. It keeps it's edge so it's a reliable and safe tool.

Superb Everyday Knife February 21, 2009
Reviewer: George from Cocoa, FL United States
I was on the lookout for something I could carry every day and I was able to find it in this little gem.  This knife pops open quickly and snaps into place and really gives you a sense of readiness.  I loved carrying it and using it so much, I  bought the serrated version so I could alternate usage depending on what my plans were for that day.

You have to see this knife in person to believe how handsome it is and how good it feels in your hand and how quickly and impressively it opens.  It is obviously a high quality knife that you will be proud to own and show off.

Great! May 31, 2008
Reviewer: Anonymous Person from Biloxi, MS United States
I bought a Leek to replace a Chive that I lost and now I wonder why I didn't have one sooner. The steel is excellent, sharpens easily and holds its' edge. The one-handed opening/closing feature is most valuable for a working tool. Mine has seen hard use over the past year and I'm thinking of buying a second one just to keep in reserve.
