The Kershaw Sportsman’s Blade Trader provides you with a series of three heavy duty utility knives that will help you through the average day in the woods or out fishing. If you like to both hunt and fish or are planning on doing both on your next camping trip this is the knife series for you. It combines the best of the Fisherman’s Blade Trader blades and the Huntsman Blade Trade knives.

In this series there are three blades, the Hunting blade, Saw blade and the Fillet blade. The Hunting blade and the Fillet blade are both made of 4202 stainless steel. The Saw blade is made of saw steel. The handle for these interchangeable knife blades is made of black co-polymer and a convenient black nylon sheath comes with the knife series.

A Quick-Lock mechanism is what makes changing out these blades possible. It’s easy to use and you can change out blades in a matter of seconds. Simply grip the co-polymer handle in your right hand. Push up on the bottom of the Quick-Lock button with your index finger. Push the mechanism into the open position with your thumb. Remove the blade that is currently set in the ‘bow tie’ setting. Set a new blade into the ‘bow tie’ setting by guiding it into place top edge first. Return the Quick-Lock mechanism to its place and you’ve successfully inserted your replacement blade.

Changeable Blades
Grasp the handle with your right hand; with your forefinger, press upwards on the underside of the Quick-Lock mechanism. Then, with your thumb, push the mechanism up into the open position. The blade or tool can be removed from the “bow tie” and a new blade or tool seated onto the “bow tie” (when seating the blade or tool onto the “bow tie” make sure to guide it into place top edge first, if you attempt to start with the bottom edge of the blade or tool the locking mechanism may not return to its down position). Complete the task by returning the mechanism to its closed (down) position.
