This Whirlwind Knife from Kershaw and Ken Onion is an excellent knife for heavy duty projects. Its larger handle is uniquely shaped to fit more easily in the hand and the blade is wider to help it cut through most of the obstacles in your way. Plus it's also designed to be as lightweight as possible without sacrificing usability.
Whirlwind's blade is made of Sandvik 14C28N stainless-steel for added strength and rust resistance. The handle is made of molded polyimide for a comfortable and secure grip. Plus the dark blue with black inserts makes this and understated yet attractive knife to own. It comes with a removable stainless steel pocket clip.
The Whirlwind has two excellent safety features for users. The Locking Liner locks the knife blade into position when the blade is fully deployed. You can easily release the locking liner by pressing a spring loaded release. The SpeedSafe assisted opening system makes this knife easy to open so you can take full advantage of the knife's capabilities.
Locking Liner
Locks the blade into position after the blade is deployed. To release the locking liner simply press the spring loaded lock and the blade will easily fold back into the handle.
