The Blade Trader series of knives from Kershaw are unique and highly convenient as they allow the user to switch out knife blades from the same handle for many different purposes. The Alaskan Blade Trader is a great knife fore the outdoorsman or woman or even for someone living in a wilderness type area such as Alaska.

This knife includes three blades; the gut hook, the hunting blade and the saw blade, making it a great knife for a hunter. The Gut Hook blade is made of AUS6A stainless steel and shaped specifically for its purpose. The Hunting blade is made of 420J2 stainless steel and the Saw blade is made from saw steel so you can be certain that it will remain sharp and strong. The handle for all three blades is made from black co-polymer.

Three blades are certainly better than one, but you’ll still get the benefit of paying for only one knife! Plus, it includes a convenient harness leather sheath.

Changeable Blades
Grasp the handle with your right hand; with your forefinger, press upwards on the underside of the Quick-Lock mechanism. Then, with your thumb, push the mechanism up into the open position. The blade or tool can be removed from the “bow tie” and a new blade or tool seated onto the “bow tie” (when seating the blade or tool onto the “bow tie” make sure to guide it into place top edge first, if you attempt to start with the bottom edge of the blade or tool the locking mechanism may not return to its down position). Complete the task by returning the mechanism to its closed (down) position.
