1670BOR - Blur from Kershaw and Ken Onion, Orange Anodized Aluminum Handle w/Black Trac-Tec Inserts, Plain Edge Blade 

Limited Edition - The Orange Blur limited edition Knife from Kershaw and Ken Onion is an excellent blade to keep on hand. You can use it for many purposes involved in cutting your way through many kinds of materials. This Blur has a CPM-154 stainless steel stonewash finish blade so that it will stay sharp much longer than other types and after a lot of abuse.

The handle is a decorative orange color with accenting black in the form of easy grip Trac-Tec inserts to help you keep a firm hold on the knife even in wet or slippery conditions. It’s fairly lightweight at 4.2 ounces is also a decent length at about 7 inches fully opened.

The Locking Liner is featured on the Orange Blur knife and it firmly holds the knife blade in place when fully opened. The Orange Blur knife also features Kershaw’s patented SpeedSafe assisted-opening system with torsion bar. Simply press the thumb stud and the spring loaded blade will pop up for easy opening with one hand.

The Knife Features:
SpeedSafe®, the patented, assisted-opening system built into many of Kershaw's best-selling Ken Onion knives. SpeedSafe assists the user to smoothly open the knife with a manual push on the blade's thumb stud.
 
The heart of the SpeedSafe system is its torsion bar. Closed, the torsion bar helps keep the knife closed, preventing it from being opened by "gravity." In order to open the knife, the user must apply manual pressure to the thumb stud to overcome the resistance of the torsion bar. After the blade is out of the handle, the torsion bar moves along its halfmoon track and takes over. The blade opens smoothly and locks into position, ready for use.

An excellent knife for the money!

The most noteworthy aspect of this knife is probably the remarkable speed at which the blade opens (spring assisted). Blur is indeed a fitting name because it is FAST! Blade arrived almost razor sharp right out of the box, and the stonewashed finish is gorgeous. My primary reason for selecting this knife actually had to do with the grip inserts, which are excellent. They provide a rough surface that keeps traction even when wet and helps you keep a good grip on the knife. The lock is sturdy and the knife has a very quality feel about it. The jimping isn't particularly functional, but other than that I have absolutely no issues with the knife. Very glad I bought it.
