This Blur Knife from Kershaw and Ken Onion is an excellent flip open partially serrated knife. You can use it for many utilitarian purposes, like slicing, sawing, piercing and cutting your way through many kinds of materials. The Blur blade is Sandvik 13C26 stainless steel with a strong Tungsten DLC coating so that it will stay sharp much longer than other types and after a lot of abuse.
The handle has comfortable easy grip Trac-Tec inserts to help you keep a firm hold on the knife even in wet or slippery conditions. Lightweight at 4.2 ounces the knife is also a decent length at about 7 inches fully opened.
The Blur also features the patented SpeedSafe assisted-opening system with torsion bar. Simply press the thumb stud and the spring loaded blade will pop up for easy opening with one hand. The Locking Liner is also featured on the Blur knife and it will hold the knife blade firmly in place when fully opened.
Locking Liner
Locks the blade into position after the blade is deployed. To release the locking liner simply press the spring loaded lock and the blade will easily fold back into the handle.
