The Hunter’s Blade Trader from Kershaw provides two blades that are convenient for the hunter. You can use your blades for cutting, skinning and just sawing some wood while out in the wood. It makes a great gift to give over the holidays and is like having two knives for the price of one!

This knife comes with a Hunting blade and Saw blade. The Hunting blade is made of 420J2 stainless steel and the Saw blade made of saw steel for extra strength and durability. The handle is made of co-polymer in black. It’s shaped for a comfortable grip and is long lasting. This also comes with a black nylon sheath

The Trader Blade series makes use of the Quick-Lock mechanism to make the blades interchangeable with the handle. Both of these blades can be changed out within a few moments and it’s as easy as pushing a button. Push up and out on the Quick-Lock button. Slide the old blade out of the ‘bow tie’ setting and slide the new blade in top edge first. Slide the Quick-Lock back and you are done.

Changeable Blades
Grasp the handle with your right hand; with your forefinger, press upwards on the underside of the Quick-Lock mechanism. Then, with your thumb, push the mechanism up into the open position. The blade or tool can be removed from the “bow tie” and a new blade or tool seated onto the “bow tie” (when seating the blade or tool onto the “bow tie” make sure to guide it into place top edge first, if you attempt to start with the bottom edge of the blade or tool the locking mechanism may not return to its down position). Complete the task by returning the mechanism to its closed (down) position.
