1660OCC - Leek from Kershaw and Ken Onion, Black Aluminum w/Web Overlay Handle, Tungsten DLC Coated Plain Edge Blade 

You’ll definitely feel the sting of this blade from Kershaw and Ken Onion. The Orange County Chopper (OCC) Leek is one of the newest Leek blades available and it’s got some bite to it. This knife is made in the USA and is designed to not only look hot but cut well.

It features a Sandvik 14C28N stainless steel blade with a protective Tungsten DLC coating. The handle, which catches everyone’s eye, is made from black anodized aluminum with laser cut 410 stainless steel web overlay. The locking liner is made from 410 stainless steel to protect the blade, handle and you when the pocket knife isn’t in use.

It comes with a safety tip lock to keep the blade of the knife firmly locked in place when the knife is closed. It also comes with a convenient removable pocket clip for easy carry. In addition, you’ll get a limited lifetime warranty for the OCC Leek 1660.

Reversible Clip
The Leek handles are drilled for both tip-up and tip-down clip carry. The clip can be rotated 180º .

Locking Liner
Locks the blade into position after the blade is deployed. To release the locking liner simply press the spring loaded lock and the blade will easily fold back into the handle.

Tip Safety Lock
The tip lock available on many of the Ken Onion SpeedSafe models provides added security to assure that the blade will not deploy while clipped into your pocket.

The Knife Features:

SpeedSafe®, the patented, assisted-opening system built into many of Kershaw's best-selling Ken Onion knives. SpeedSafe assists the user to smoothly open the knife with a manual push on the blade's thumb stud or Index- Open system. (Index-Open uses a protruding portion of the blade's finger guard to give the user an alternative to the thumb stud. The user manually pulls back on the protrusion with the index finger to open the blade.)

The heart of the SpeedSafe system is its torsion bar. Closed, the torsion bar helps keep the knife closed, preventing it from being opened by "gravity." In order to open the knife, the user must apply manual pressure to the thumb stud to overcome the resistance of the torsion bar. After the blade is out of the handle, the torsion bar moves along its halfmoon track and takes over. The blade opens smoothly and locks into position, ready for use.
