Excellent August 9, 2013

I work for an auto maker and have carried this blade for seven years broke the tip three years ago reground the contour resharpened and kept running, cuts everything and carries light, disappears in the black gloves we wear, I can get it out used and put away one handed before most people realize you cut something near them scares hell out of them its so quick, recently broke the spring so ordering more still works but slows you down. NEVER stop making this.EXTREMELY SATISFIED USER.

Blackout 1550 November 22, 2010
Reviewer: Rick Andrews from Redlands, CA United States
This is the best knife I have ever seen. I have lost two in the past and have found nothing that compares to the durability and clean lines that the blackout 1550 offers! I will never buy any other knife besides a kershaw blackout 1550!

my first assisted opener November 2, 2009
Reviewer: Zack from McGregor, TX United States
The fact that I have purchased 5 Kershaws since this one should speak volumes of how great this knife and this brand is. Picked this up about a year ago - my first AO and I love it. Very light  - disappears  in your pocket. Great blade has been very durable - my only complaint is the speed safe opening mechanism seems light on this compared to Kershaws I've bought since - it opens almost a little too easily, but I've never had it open by itself - hasn't been a problem - but for the price - it is hard to beat.

1550 May 22, 2008
Reviewer: SSG John Russell (US Army) from Manhattan, KS United States
One of if not the best knife I have ever owned. Always dependable for any use, stays sharp even after extended and rough handeling. Mine has been to Iraq twice and several other countries since I received it as a gift. Very pleased, would not change a thing it is the perfect all around knife. Good workmanship and quality at any price.

A good dam knive November 19, 2007
Reviewer: Dylan Nicholson from Woonsocket, RI United States
This is a good dam knive!  I used this knive about every day I was in the Army.  I now continue to use it as my everyday carry knive.  I like the metal the blade is made out of because it holds an edge like no knive I have ever used.  The only thing is that my tip broke off during my time in the Army.  I was using it "properly" so the tip broke. other then that, I have used and purtchased many other brands and styles of knives but this knive has out done them all.  I am now because of this knive only going to buy and use Kershaw knives!

Best Damn Knife.......... November 19, 2007
Reviewer: Anonymous Person from Kansas City, MO United States
The 1550 is the best damn knife I have ever owned.  I've had 4 and just ordered 2 more.  If I can keep my dogs from chewing the handle material off and don't lose any more I'll be happy!  This is an all around knife and I use and carry it for protection as it is easy and quick to get into action and is also great for field dressing deer and other game.  The 1550 is the only knife I will ever carry.  Don't ever stop making this model!
