0302 - Folding Knife w/SpeedSafe from Zero Tolerance, 3-D Machined Coyote Brown G-10 Handle, Tiger Stripe Tungsten DLC Coated Plain Edge Blade

ZT’s model 0302 has all the features and advantages of our 0301, but with Coyote Brown G-10 scales.

Like the 0301, it’s a top-quality folding combat knife that comes equipped with the patented SpeedSafe® assisted opening system. Use the ambidextrous thumb stud or index finger protrusion to easily deploy the blade—even if you’ve only got one hand free.

In addition to SpeedSafe®, the 0302 has a tough S30V stainless-steel blade and “Tiger Stripe” Tungsten DLC coating. The S30V blade steel provides toughness, wear resistance, and corrosion resistance. The Tungsten DLC tiger striping also provides a non-reflective camouflaged surface.

The 0302’s Coyote Brown scales are constructed of a combination of 3-D machined G-10 and titanium. This pairing provides top performance in the form of high mechanical strength and a non-slip grip.

The 0302 also features a 3/8-inch hex head pivot shaft nut for fast-and-easy field adjustments with minimal tools. There’s also a reversible or removable clip for convenient and secure tip-up or tip-down carry.

The Knife Features:

SpeedSafe®, the patented, assisted-opening system built into many of Kershaw's best-selling Ken Onion knives. SpeedSafe assists the user to smoothly open the knife with a manual push on the blade's thumb stud.

The heart of the SpeedSafe system is its torsion bar. Closed, the torsion bar helps keep the knife closed, preventing it from being opened by "gravity." In order to open the knife, the user must apply manual pressure to the thumb stud to overcome the resistance of the torsion bar. After the blade is out of the handle, the torsion bar moves along its halfmoon track and takes over. The blade opens smoothly and locks into position, ready for use.
